The Engine Room introduces the Beta 45T

Over the years, the Auckland On Water Boat Show has developed a reputation as a hub for the new releases and innovations of the marine industry this year. As the show approaches, we’ll be highlighting the best-in-show products you can expect to see this year, and the latest and greatest from our exhibitors.

The Beta 45T is based upon the technically advanced, high quality Kubota Super 5 family of diesel engines and is turbocharged. It delivers very smooth, quiet power, torque is immediate at low RPM and maximum power is available at mid RPM. Kubota-based Beta Marine engines are renowned for durability, longevity and reliability.

Standard specification includes heater plugs for cold starting below 5°C, fuel filter, mechanical fuel lift pump, mechanical fuel injection pump and mechanical engine governing ensures steadfast performance regardless of ambient conditions. Additionally, is equipped with a gear driven camshaft which is quiet and offers maximum engine reliability and reduced servicing, as no timing chains or toothed belts have to be replaced.

Subject to criteria, Kubota based engines accommodate installation angles up to 15° maximum when static and 25° when heeling.
